Incredible service & menu at The Drumming Snipe, Mayford

Sister pub to The Greene Oak and The Greyhound, another Brucan Pubs offering is The Drumming Snipe.

A clean and tidy atmosphere (but nothing wildly out of the ordinary), The Drumming Snipe mixes high quality, tasty food with excellent service: we’ve never been disappointed when dining here.

Offering a personal favourite: Beef Tartare, I’m instantly drawn in and have visited Brucan Pubs specifically for it. A delicious, zingy, and generous portion of tartare started the meal off nicely. We also got the Soup of the Day, which was rich tomato and basil with sourdough bread.

For our mains, we went simple with the standard cheeseburger and a sirloin steak, but the quality of meat in both dishes was of the same calibre as the starter, really upgrading these usually generic main course choices into a gourmet treat.

With regards to the staff, nothing was too much trouble, and they were friendly, proactive and efficient, giving thoughtful and helpful suggestions and really going above and beyond with every diner there.
