Want to fill yourself with meat? The Cyder House Inn in Godalming is a good shout.

Just had an explore and found ourselves further out than usual, our trusty friend Google guided us to The Cyder House Inn and actually…was pretty good food.

Service and setting was friendly enough, though not particularly memorable either way, but the food was tasty, some safe players and some interesting choices mixed together so something for all palates.

I’m not wildly au fait with South African cuisine so we weren’t particularly adventurous, but everything we had was cooked to perfection.

The salmon and chicken starters were both tasty and delicate enough that you could tell they use good quality ingredients, and the steaks for both soft and tender, with an interesting mushroom, whiskey & horseradish sauce that was like a more interesting peppercorn sauce. Topped off with respectable chips and vine-ripened tomatoes, was a good meaty meal leaving us satiated and impressed.

Would go back to try some of the other options so let me know if you’ve tried and tested anything and what you thought!
